I make backpacks and other stuff mainly from discarded banners that would otherwise be headed for the landfill or incinerator. Since banners aren’t really meant for sewing, I add waterproof fabric to the high-stress spots.

The fabric itself is sourced from Kinetic, a local company that sells me leftover and waste fabric. So, even though the textile looks brand new, these backpacks are as zero-waste as it gets!
